for joining us. i'm carolyn tyler. dozens of police remain on guard at oakland city hall this hour after arresting nearly 300 occupy oakland demonstrators last night. tear gas and gas bang grenades mark the most turn plant clash with police since their encampment was torn down last november. there were last arrests at the downtown ymca. one band of roaming protesters also vandalized city hall. the damage inside is still being assessed this morning. sergio reports. >> city hall became one of the targets of demonstrators when a few people managed to force their way in and make a mess of the place. a visibly flustered jean quan voiced her frustration with the latest demonstration. >> the occupy oakland has got to stop using oakland as its playground and that people in the community and people in the occupy movement have to stop making excuses for this behavior. >> at the height of protestors during the day, demonstrators squared off at police. some tossed objects at officers and police responded with flash bangs and nobody grenades. as the day war on, several conflicts erupted, like t

carolyn tyler. developing news in san francisco's richmond district. this morning firefighters have been battling a house fire since 2:30 this morning. take a look at these flames. when they first arrived at 42nd avenue and balboa street, fire crews reported seeing flames shooting out of a second story window. there is no word yet on any injuries as fire crews are still busy trying to get this under control. we will bring you more information as it becomes available. >>> this morning 49'ers fans are waking up celebrating. the team is now just one win away from going back to the super bowl for the first time in 17 years. the 49'ers advance to next sunday's nfc championship game, defeating the new orleans saints in a thriller yesterday. after jumping out to a 17-0 lead, the 49'ers found themselves trailing 32-29, saints, with just a minute thirty-seven left in the game but the niners were not done. with just nine seconds left, alex smith hits vernon davis for a 14-yard touchdown to give the 49'ers one of the most dramatic wins in franchise history. 36-32, a victory. >> right now, i me

until overnight tonight. >> thank you. good morning, everyone. thanks nor joining us. i'm carolyn tyler. six young people are recovering this morning after being shot at a sweet 16 party in antioch. police say about 80 people were at the house party on wilmont lane when it suddenly turned violent around 10:30 last night. police say a fight broke utility -- out in the garage between two groups, quickly escalating into a shootout. one person was taken by helicopter to a walnut creek hospital and underwent surgery -- injury to the leg. others have less serious wounds. the victims age in range from 13 to 21. >> football parties will soon be starting around the bay area, ahead of the championship game. and some are already camped out hoping to be one of the first to tailgate. parking lots open at 11:30. fans from both teams are ready to claim victory. abc7s nick smith went to a local sports bar where the pregame celebration began last night. >> let's go giants! >> let's go giants! >> giants fans have invaded san francisco. and if sheer enthusiasm were enough to secure the nfc championship ga

, everyone. thanks nor joining us, i'm carolyn tyler. at least six occupy oakland protestors face charges this morning, including vandalism assaulting police officers and possessing explosives after an anti-police march last night. starting around 8:00 they marched from the plaza. they snaked through downtown. they claim they have been harassed at occupy oakland events in recent weeks. some marchers broke patrol windows, vandalized news advance and someone also lit a fire near 8th and washington street. they uncovered an explosive equal to a quarter stick of dynamite. some occupy oakland protestors are condemning the actions of others saying the majority do not condone that violence. and occupy san jose they will march today from city hall to the santa clara county courthouse starting at noon. this event coincides with the court case held 126 years ago known as santa clara county versus southern pacific railroad. this 1886 case stemmed from the railroad's refusal to pay taxes. it was a dispute over changes to california packs -- tax law. the u.s. supreme court ultimately ruled in favor of
